Peninsula's 18th Annual charity fundraiser, The Walk for Life, has new focus.
In support of 2008 Peninsula Graduate, Eric Stevens, this year's walk will raise money for ALS.
On Friday, February 21, 2020, over 1,000 Peninsula students and faculty will be lacing up their sneakers to raise money for the fight against ALS. PVPHS is looking for community sponsors for our 18th annual charity fundraiser, The Walk for Life. Over the past 17 years, this annual event has raised funds for cancer support and research. This year, our school community has chosen to direct the funds raised from this walk to ALS, in honor of Eric Stevens, a 2008 Peninsula High School graduate who has recently been diagnosed with ALS.
Proceeds from this event will go to Project ALS, a non-profit supported by Eric Stevens and his loving wife, Amanda. Project ALS identifies and funds the most promising scientific and medical research that will lead to the first effective treatments and a cure for ALS. They recruit the world’s best scientists and doctors to work together—rationally and aggressively—to develop a better understanding of the ALS disease process and, in parallel, better therapeutic strategies.
Please use this form to participate in the Walk. Forms are due to P115 by Wednesday, February 19,2020:
