One thousand Panthers came together on Thursday, February 15 for the 16th annual Walk for Life cancer benefit. The event kicked off with a lunchtime carnival featuring 100 food booths run by PVPHS clubs. Students and staff then moved to the football stadium where we heard moving tributes, held our traditional Rose Ceremony in the memory of friends and family who have succumbed to cancer, and enjoyed a special dance performance. Checks were presented to our beneficiaries The City of Hope and Cancer Support Community. With a cry of "HOPE" the students released pounds of purple powder into the sky and then headed off on their walk to Highridge Park.
