Palos Verdes Peninsula 2019 Student Film Festival

Peninsula High School is pleased to announce the Fifth Annual Palos Verdes Peninsula Student Film Festival. This festival is designed to give aspiring young PVPUSD high school students a chance to make and submit films in a variety of categories. Winners will be selected by audience vote and prizes will be awarded to the top films in each category.
Who May Participate? Any student at PVPHS, PVHS or RDMHS. Students may work together with colleagues from other schools.
What are the categories? Short films, up to 10 minutes (no minimum), in one of four genres:
Documentary/PSA Drama Comedy Animation
All students will need to pick up a festival application from Mr. Cohen or Mr. Karg in the S15 or the PAC. Or downloaded below.
All films are to be submitted by May 14th at 3pm.
What are the prizes: There will be 5 prizes awarded. One for each category and the Palm D’ Peninsula for the best film of the festival.
What are the guidelines? Films should fit the required length and maintain a “PG” quality. All films will be evaluated by a selection panel before being considered for the festival.
All submissions are to be made via Flash Drive or Vimeo/YouTube link submission.
Students should avoid using copyrighted music or video clips in their submissions.
