Dance and Choreo General Information
MOMENTUM
Join us for our upcoming Momentum Dance Show at the Armstrong Theater in Torrance on April 16, 17 & 18 at 7pm. This show features performances by our Choreo Company, Coed Choreo, Intermediate Dance, Pep Flags, and PE Dance groups. Tickets are $15 each and are available from any of our dancers or by contacting Coach Tsudama at [email protected]
Peninsula has three dance groups:
- Choreo Company
- Coed Choreo
- Intermediate Dance
Each of these groups require an audition and have one or more sub-teams such as Varsity or JV.
In addition, students can enroll in PE DANCE which requires no audition. This course follows the California state Dance standards, while combining both Physical Education and Dance. In the course students will get a hint of different dance forms - Ballet, Dance conditioning, Jazz, Modern, Cultural dances, and Hip-Hop. Students get the chance to explore different dance genres and learn how to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
TRYOUT INFORMATION FOR ALL GROUPS
Students must have proof of current physical with them in order to participate in any sport tryouts
COED tryouts - week of April 29 - May 3, 2024
Intermediate Dance tryouts - week of April 22-26, 2024
Choreo Company tryouts - week of April 22-26, 2024
Audition Attire: Black workout attire - top and bottoms, dance shoes, hair pulled out of face. Light sweater and water bottle
