Welcome to Peninsula High School. As you visit our site, you will be introduced to some of the people and programs that contribute to our reputation as one of the best comprehensive public high schools in the nation.

Our campus is located at the top of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, a suburb of Los Angeles with a long-standing commitment to the welfare of its children. Our students are culturally diverse, with almost many different world languages spoken among them, but they share a common appreciation for the importance of education in preparing them to become successful adults.

Over the years, Peninsula's reputation for academic excellence has been acknowledged by regional and national publications, college and university admissions officers, and judges at competitions in all of our curricular areas. But it is also important to us that students learn to balance their classroom accomplishments with fun and friendships, so we encourage their participation in extracurricular activities, including athletics, the arts, leadership, and community service.

The Peninsula High administration, faculty, and staff work every day to create an environment that promotes curiosity, learning, and personal growth. They bring professionalism and compassion to their jobs so that each student can comfortably explore his or her unique talents and abilities.
