Free Tutoring Options
- NHS offers 2 hours per month of individual online tutoring where we can partner your student with an NHS Member. Please go to the PVPHS NHS Tutoring website, to fill out the Google form. Please allow 5-10 school days for us to find a tutor that is available for the subject and during the times you have requested. Please keep in mind this is a free service and tutors may not be readily available. Tutors may request compensation for hours in excess of 2 per month. - Tutoring in Spanish is offered by appointment with members of the Spanish Honor Society. Complete THIS ONLINE FORM to sign up. Contact is Ms. Valerio [email protected]
- Tutoring in French is offered at lunch and after school by the members of the French Honor Society. Contact Ms. Sam [email protected]
Other Tutoring Options
- Peer Tutor Referral List: A list of current students who offer tutoring is available at the front counter in the Counseling Office. The list provides contact info and area of expertise. It is your responsibility to contact the tutor and coordinate a meeting time and payment.
- SBUT Tutoring –You can visit the SBUT Tutoring website for information about hiring a private tutor. The following information is taken directly from their website: “Many of the members of South Bay United Teachers provide private tutoring. This program is strictly an agreement between the teacher and the individual requesting services. All tutoring parameters are set by the teacher (location, time, cost).”
