Mrs. Hendrick

Welcome to Mrs. Hendrick's Edlio Page.  This is where I will be posting info on assignments during the school closure.  I will also be using Remind.

Virtual office hours will be held from 8-10am daily.  During this time, I will be answering emails and posting daily workout videos.  Please use this time to take care of yourselves-catch up on sleep, focus on nutrition and keep your bodies moving!

PEfitnessLog (2) (1)

During AP testing, I only want you to stay active.  You will study better if you get a 30 minute exercise break.  If you're not taking AP tests, you can use this time to catch up on other assignments.

Be honest on these logs.  I would rather you say that you did nothing than lie.  I will post daily workouts, but you don't have to do them specifically.  You can go for a walk or stretch in front of the tv, just move your body!

Across-the-floor tutorials

Here is a link to several across-the-floor videos.  This is all review from the year.

Site-Specific Quarantine Choreography

Site-Specific Quarantine Choreography

1) Select an area of your home or yard and create a thematic piece of choreography exploring the particular space.  You can use family, pets, props, use your imagination
2) Create a video showcasing your choreography and theme.  Here are two examples: https://youtu.be/fmErivzHaS4 and https://youtu.be/JIlSVY8m8LM
3) You can film the dance in one straight camera shot or make separate clips and edit them together.  iMovie is easy to use.  This should be at least 30 seconds long.
4) Upload to Teams

Table Dance tutorial

Table Solo
  1. Can you still make dances when you’re in isolation? Can you make dances without being in a studio space? Can having less options make you more creative? Two choreographers explore that idea with their “Table Dance Solos”. Watch this video and then this video. Now watch them both again…one more time…a few viewings will make this is richer experience. Watch their attention to detail, musicality and the way their small gestures seem larger since they are in a small space.
  2. Create your own table solo…needs to be 20-30 seconds. Use any song you would like. Wear any costume you like. Take a video and upload to Teams or email me directly.
