Connect with Colleges

These events are not sponsored, coordinated or presented by the College Career Center.  We are only sharing these opportunities with you.  All questions about these events need to be directed to the organization.  We do not have any additional information to provide about the event, we do not have the ability to get you registered if you miss the date and we do not have materials that would have been presented at these events.

One of the best ways for students to start their college search is through visiting campus. Westminster has a robust and interactive visit program where your juniors can experience for themselves why students love a Westminster education!

Highlights of a Campus Visit

Students and their families can do the following:

  • Receive a voucher to eat in our dining hall
  • Attend an in-depth information session where an admissions counselor will go over the admissions process, academic programs, financial aid, and any other questions that arise
  • Join a campus tour led by a current Westminster student who dives into student life as well as personal memories and experiences
  • Attend department meetings to connect with faculty/deans of certain programs, such as nursing or the Honors College
  • Sit in on a current class to get a first-hand experience of what learning is really like at Westminster

School group visits are also available. Registration for visits can be found on our visit campus webpage

Griffin Kickoff

Another fun way for students to learn more about Westminster and get some time on campus is through admissions events. One upcoming opportunity for students is the Griffin Kickoff on August 4, 2023. Students can kick off their college search and join us to learn about Westminster’s academic offerings, campus life, and applying to college. While they are on campus, they will be able to do the following:

  • Join us for breakfast and meet other students who are exploring Westminster
  • Tour campus
  • Hear about Westminster from the source: current students and faculty
  • Learn how (and when) to apply
  • Create a plan to pay for college, with support from our team
Students can register for this event on the Griffin Kickoff webpage.

Distinctly different Liberal Arts Colleges

CTCL offers a national series of information sessions and college fairs for students, parents and counselors featuring the colleges and universities that inspired the book,
Colleges That Change Lives.

Each program opens with a 30-minute presentation on the student-centered college search, the value of the liberal arts, and an overview of what makes this collection of schools distinctly different.

After the opening presentation, attendees are invited to attend a 30-minute financial aid workshop and a 90-minute college fair. The fair provides students, families, and college access professionals with an opportunity to connect directly with admission officers from the CTCL member schools.
