    • 1st semester, we worked a lot with Adjectives--a part of speech used to describe a noun or pronoun.
      • Now you will work with:
      • Comparative Adjectives (when comparing two things, people or places) & Superlative Adjectives (when comparing 3 or more things. people or places)
        • Comparatives Adjectives: add -er & Superlative Adjectives: add -est  (122)
          • -er & -est are suffixes: suffixes are added to the end of a word
        • Examples: Howard is strong! But Shuto is stronger than Howard. And Joanne is the strongest of all, for sure!
AND
    • 1st semester, we also worked a lot with Adverbs--a part of speech used to modify--,describe, change or add to the meaning of a verb.
      • Remember! Adverbs are the modifier with super powers! Adverbs can also modify adjectives, or even other adverbs!
      • Comparative Adverbs (when comparing two things, people or places) & Superlative Adverbs (when comparing 3 or more things. people or places) (123)
      • Some Comparative & Superlative Adverbs are irregular: usually Adverbs end in -ly, but not always
        • well & badly DO NOT add -er & -est
        • Examples: Howard usually runs fast! Shuto runs faster than Howard. But Joanne runs the fastest of all, for sure! She always wins the race! She is the best runner on the team!
