Registration

REGISTRATION MATERIALS
The 2018-19 Peninsula High Registration Packet is divided into two pdf documents - the PVPHS Registration Forms and Info and the PVPHS Senior Specific Info. Please take the time to read through each of these documents. However, since each document is quite lengthy, we suggest that you only print out the pages that you are going to turn in. All students must print and return the signed Academic Integrity Form on page 40 of the PVPHS Registration Forms and Info packet.
 
In addition to the Pen High specific information above, parents must log in to their Aeries Parent Portal to access annual PVPUSD notifications, complete confirmations and update student information. When you have completed the District processes through your Aeries Parent Portal, you will be asked to print a document that includes your student's emergency contact information along with signature lines for parent/guardian and student. This signed form must be turned in on Registration Day. Directions for using the Aeries Parent Portal can be found HERE on the District website.

REGISTRATION DAY
All enrolled students must complete Registration prior to starting classes. Peninsula High registration will be held on Tuesday, August 14 in the main gym following this schedule:
Seniors 7:30am-9ammark your calendar
Juniors 9am-11am
Sophomores noon-2pm
Freshmen 2pm-4pm

To gain entry into the gym, students MUST bring:
  1. An updated Emergency Card printed from the Aeries Parent Portal using the PARENT Aeries account. This document must be signed by parent and student. Instructions for updating and printing the Emergency Card can be found here on the District website. (Please note that the Emergency Card can NOT be updated through the STUDENT Aeries account).
  2. The Academic Integrity Form from page 40 of the PVPHS Registration Packet. This form must be signed by the student and one parent/guardian
 
Each student must register in person. Students who are unable to attend Registration Day must complete the registration process on the first day of school, Wednesday morning, August 22 before reporting to class. This late registration session will be held in the gym starting at 7am.

The Pen High Computer Lab (S31) will be open and staffed on both Registration Day (August 14) and Late Registration Day (August 22) to assist parents in accessing and printing the required registration documents outlined above.
 
Please note - Registration is only for students who are already fully enrolled - i.e. students coming to Pen from Ridgecrest, Miraleste, or PVIS, OR students who are new to our District and have completed the online enrollment process and met with the registrar providing Proof of Residency and all other required documents. Enrollment will not be processed at Registration. Instructions for enrolling at PV Peninsula High can be found HERE on the school website.
 
TEXTBOOK DISTRIBUTION
books 
Students may pick up their textbooks from the school library. Seniors / Juniors / Sophomores can come to the library after they register on August 14. Freshmen can begin picking up their textbooks on Wednesday, August 15 after orientation. The library will be open August 14 through August 16 from 7:30am until 3:30pm. The library will be closed on Friday, August 17. BRING YOUR SCHOOL ID CARD!
 
SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS

Counselors will be available to meet with students who have scheduling errors in the Counseling Office at the following times:

 

Tuesday, August 14 – 9:30am – 11:30am Seniors

Tuesday, August 14 – 12:30pm – 2:30pm Juniors

Wednesday, August 15 – 9:30am – 11:30am Sophomores

Wednesday, August 15 – 1:00pm – 2:30pm Freshmen

 

STUDENTS MUST GO THROUGH REGISTRATION BEFORE SEEING THEIR COUNSELOR REGARDING SCHEDULE CHANGES! Students must bring their 2018-19 Student ID card and their schedule received at Registration in order to meet with their counselor.
