I just going to be the last video of our passes for I'm calling this but our our alphabet assignment and so we're back in the the composition or bitter the project actually that I showed you for the the initial full project and let me get a couple things out of the way here so there's are full one right it's a 35 second cop it's the video I showed you at the beginning of the first movie and I'm in my Mein Kampf and so is the last couple things I want to do so. turn my guides off and my rulers off cuz I don't need those anymore what I do want to do here is so I have five to last things I need to accomplish number one I need to build my master comp out my master cop out master cop has all different things in this case so what you are going to want to do is we want a little bit of dead space at the beginning and then at the end we want to have your name right as a credit right so we'll talk about here in just a second but let's come back into I can close up my sailboat pre-comp back in my Mein Kampf here okay so the last thing I want to do is deal with the birds because I have these birds so let me go ahead and grab my bird's here I'm into my composition and let's play around with this do this the right way there we go so I have some birds right and so notice how in my last one the cop that their sizes were really big important it the right way I'm not real sure what was going on there I might clarify this in class for you guys okay so small. Actual layer is here to my bounding box that's kind of more what I want so I would like to have these birds my across the screen but of course I need them to do this a couple of different times right or a couple different ways and so let's go ahead and see how we would do this in in comp now I would first bring this down in time because I know what I'm going to do in terms of duplication here and so what I'm going to have happened here is to take this I know I wanted to take about 2 seconds or so for them to come across the screen write something like that let's see one 23 okay so let's go 3 seconds right so then what I'll do is we will keep her in our position will start at here and then at the end of that comp will Sims bring it across to hear that from their excuse me I'll bring it across to here so it writes out everything starts and then have the birds go across so and Rachel at work so that's kind of cool let's actually this in the lair stock blow let's move it in the dark below everything else except the sky right so because I don't want this to be too distracting right so I wanted to be in the back I could squish them right or do other things to make them look a little more believable right so what I could do for example is and I don't want this video to be too long but they could bring up my scale rights and what I would do here is ID all this and I would go let's see we go 100 so we'll keep Raymond and then we'll go 100 let me move this back here like zoom in so you guys can see this psycho 100 and then maybe go over 1 2 3 4 something like that 5 frames and I'd go let's make this a t but that's okay and then I'm going to take this and just go ahead and copy it and I'm going to come back over a couple frames and paste it over a couple frames and paste it so what I did is I disconnected the scale so and I'm just slightly squishing the the frame I'm not I'm not shrinking the whole thing it's not getting smaller side to side and top to bottom I'm just kind of top to bottom just to give it a little bit of of undulation so let's zoom out a little bit let's bring in our work space so that we can take a look just at our bird flying by the way you'll notice if there's some markers in the in the work area the right here those can be grabbed over on the side brought in so you bring it can you double click and do it when you say bird flies or whatever these are kind of important when you're doing something where you may need notes or specific spots where things happen okay so the problem is that my Anchor Point is not where I wanted to be for this so I need to come back to here I might need to grab my Anchor Point to London to bring it to the bottom of this friend there we go going to work I should have done that before so now use okay so I may need to go back and redo the scale thing so let's see it it should go well maybe I just need the skill to speed up so let me just take this and I'm going to have you grab keep all your keep Rams you hold down the option key and you slide them in they move proportionally so that's a good way of compressing something yeah I think that works that's good enough okay so that's one way to do the birds but let's say that right so that that's my birds only happening once so what can I do now okay so what I can do now is and I can say let's see I want some birds that to come in sort of there right now I'd like maybe another set of birds to come in here solo do a couple and then I'm just going to Simply I'm just duplicating his right I'm just going to drop these in at random spots on my composition like this and duplicate it one more time right and so now I have all these birds coming in yeah they come in throughout the comp and they're all the same thing it's just a loop right of different birds coming through but let's say that that really annoys me because it's there's just a ton of those in my in my timeline so one of the things I can do again as I can take these select them all if I'd like to write all my birds layers right click on them precompose them move all of the tributes into the new cop will call this Birds Recall now it's cleaned up and it's out of the timeline okay is there another way I could do this there certainly is let's go make a let's make another pre-comp here so let's make a is my last thing I want to show you before we finish up or Master's thing Loop this is kind of a more advanced thing so we're going to go in here I want this to be let's make this 5 seconds maybe even less now 5 Seconds good going to bring this and we may need to change the color hair because this is right click come settings background color my birds are white doesn't matter what the background color is here it's in essence transparent when I bring it into the maiden comp just for our purposes here bringing my birds let's go ahead and zoom in a bit so we can see what's happening with them I'm going to bring my Lair Anchor Point to the bottom of them to do this correctly this time and what time going to do here is I am going to now take this and I'm going to go ahead and do the same thing I did before move it over the P4 position I can couple different things we can do her let's do this right in the middle show you why we going to do this right in the middle and I want to give up spacer so right in the middle of the comp going to go pee for Position will keep praying it will go from here the Cure in 5 seconds and we will lip that looks good so 1 2 3 4 and 5 okay cool good enough that work now let's go ahead and bring our scale up its decoupling will start keep raining here and maybe we'll make this a little more extreme so I'll come over a little bit and we'll make it will make this maybe 60% of height okay that I think looks better remember I just copied and pasted these all the way across command C command V this is going to give us that sort of slapping thing and again this is a motion graphic not worried about the fact that there's a couple Birds flapping the same way not a big deal that's so there we go there flopping across looks good to me save this so we've done that has a pre-op cool so that's all done so let's go back to other cop yeah but soon the visibility of this one off and let's bring her bridge loop in so you can see here we have a 5-second composition and I can slide this to wherever I want rent so here's this one it's going to be right in the middle right in those look pretty good go ahead and play around with us now there's a thing called time remapping to this is this is more advanced and don't get lost in this I go ahead and I go to the sing I right click on it and I got no time and I want to enable time remapping should be no surprise Direction dead frame in here Red Lobster on Demand right arrow move you in a frame left and right in your current time indicator so so I need to do some keep raining here and actually there's a dead frame so I need to add a frame there and remove a frame here if you use do it to time remap something cuz yeah it does that it does it right here in automation it automatically takes care of this dead friend thing for you advance time remapping allows me to play around with the time structure of a thing in the after-effects of Springs Apple let's say that I wanted to make the the Birds Go one way and then the other way in that V text Mike playground of his keep Rams there simply beginning and end of the time and yeah so now the birds will fly across real quick and then they fly backwards the other way cuz I time remapped it that way and then actually is kind of sweet at sort of like that so let's say that I want this so now that I've time remap this one of the things that's really amazing is that I can actually make this thing Loop continually through the rest of the position so let's bring the whole thing here let's go ahead and do it another time remapped it was cool as I can I can drag it out so previously I thought it was only 5 Seconds now that it's time remap time is elastic and I can make it to you a whole bunch of other stuff let's come in here and then let's get really into the deep end of the pool we're going to go ahead and option-click the stopwatch and what this does is it brings up what's called an expression pain and the expression pain is a place where I can put in some bits of code there's all kinds of things I can do like I can make something wiggle I can make things rotate all kinds of crazy stuff that I can do right in here with code if that's you but what I want to do is I want to say Loop this out tell me using this property of loop out you do not have to do this this is simply an advanced demo in case you're interested and what's going to happen here is that it's going to Simply take the thing that that I did in a Time remap this is going to do it over and over again for the entirety of the composition that's so that's a way of doing something once and having it repeat so there we go there's that let's say I want that to be you know I do you like it right there in the midpoint couple different ways to do the birds there their they're going back and forth and we're in good shape you've noticed that it's slowed down a little bit and it's not probably working at reeltime that's because things like expressions and remapping and all that taxes the processor a little bit more okay our last little step here and I know this is a couple hours of video for you guys but this is complex the last thing we're going to do is go ahead and build her master out download my master comp I need a couple different things I'm going to go ahead back to my project window and let me go ahead and make a folder will call this pre comps and let me take my sailboat pre-comp my bird's beak off and my birds Loop and throw it in the pre-con folder clean up a little bit here now all I have is my cutter for  okay so remember I didn't you but that's just my import necessary import function and now I have my master and my and my main I don't want the main the master in there that's not a good idea okay so let's go and let's grab our  for Mein Kampf bring it in. Remember this is 30 seconds long right and I have a 35 seconds and I have 40 seconds so I'm going to sort of Stellar the sub we always a little bit of dead space or black space at the beginning of a animation or a movie like this you know so if they drop into the video bulletin or something like that it gives them a little bit of work room so we're going to go lay their new solid where we're going to grab a solid and make it black I would like this solid to be down I want this to be black so we're going to go we actually want this to be 0 0 0 that's cool yeah that's black right there right and then I'm going to actually take this and grab it and stick it rated getting now we could have it just line up this is this is a a transition right so it could just go black and right into our thing but will play with us a little bit so and then I'm going to duplicate this command and I'm going to stick this other one here at the end because we need the same thing here right we would like this at the end to go to black as well okay so I need two seconds at the beginning for this so one to write so luckily SingSnap to your play head and snap to the seconds thing so we just come to two seconds here let's snap this over we may need to zoom in a little more just to be sure and then okay we won about right but we're actually going to do here now we could do some time remapping and in all that but we don't need to so we could do simply an opacity right so out so we come to our black solid will call this the coldest so that's Lair isolation mode in case that happens to you call this black in and we'll call this one up top here knock out good so we can use some transitions I'll show you that in just a second but here we go so black in let's go ahead and have our opacity cure so dirty for transparency will keep playing this at 100% transparency will come over to hear this is where other cop starts remember we can drop in another key frame so that maintains hundred percent then we come to the end here right at the end and we'll make this 0% and we can take a look and see how this looks right so we'll start it so we have one second two seconds and then it starts in okay cool that works pretty well yep I like that that works okay so that's a good simple way to do this and then we will come to the end here and we might do the reverse right so it's a I guess that's one of the Ender my thing maybe I can pull this over like that let's go ahead and in black out here we will go in or transform and or opacity will keep frame it and we'll make it 2-0 and then we'll come to the end of our corporate here yeah and we'll make it 100% okay and that would be a really simple way to do this writes out we come to the end letters all fly in and that reminds me I was going to show you one other thing okay so maybe I'll show it to you here so now the last thing I need is my tax for my name because that needs to go to the end so we'll come in here and I'll put it right in the middle and I will say bye or whatever it is what's up I've got this where I want it kind of course I don't want this to actually exist for the whole time right so I'm going to change its layer sort of its its thing right okay and let's play an effect on this okay and let's go ahead and make this end like just a fraction of a second before this might be a little close to the 1/2 I like this drop-in affect I used right here right so and I probably need this to not show up until maybe about here okay let's zoom into this sort of end-time right here on the timeline and let's go ahead and go to war effects and presets and let's use this drop-in by character again go ahead and drag it down I wanted to be on this layer the one that says by car so I'll drag that effect on there now how do I control the effect effect kits controlled little differently some effects open in effect window that up here by your project window some of them are within your lair this one happens to be with in your lair so open it up I'll go to transform excuse me I will get a text and I have my animator right here so open that and there's two things I need to do I need to deal with range selector that's the start and stop that the start an offset as it were of the of the effect and then I have the position okay so let's go ahead and do deal with the position first so we're going to this is the start I want to bring to cure and the let's see yeah start their let's bring the end about here and then let's take the position and move it off scream like this that's so that's all contained within the range selector the animator and then so won't take a look cool. Looks good and hold and then at the end here will simply just make it disappear and have second before if you need to go to 45 seconds grab a couple seconds of dead space at the end here in fact let me zoom out and do this I think I need 45 seconds that's fine if you need it let's not go past a minute though so let's go to a Master comp right click copy settings I need 40 let's go to 45 seconds cuz I want this to stayed out nicely so I'm out a little bit here I need this to I need all of these things to extend I need the black to extend need to talk 6th and K so and maybe this is I want this to be a little slower so sends the straps in holds it's so maybe here I'm going to opacity out so I will go close this up open up my transform hit Maya pacity it's going to be a hundred percent here go and maybe to here let's bring it down to zero all right and let's go ahead and now I zoom out all the way start at the beginning see how this looks so we start with black we say it in we're not quite at real time in our preview here that's okay I'm just checking to make sure that everything sort of working in the right proportions will actually have to render it out to see the whole thing this is your master cop black in at the beginning blackout at the end and some credits yeah it's lagging a little bit not a big deal okay I'm just double-checking everything here it ran out of RAM for the preview and that sometimes happens and so what we need to do then is we may need to clear the cache and all that will will talk about that it's not really a big deal if they happens okay well actually go past that point yeah so I may need to watch this into sections then right so we do is we done just take this in somewhere whatever that happened and we'll just start here and we'll rear Rim preview the sea half of it yep okay so that all drops in scrunching a couple things yeah like in letters down if I close some of the other programs I'm using okay so that's perfect 45 seconds looks good the program's I was using it probably would help a little bit here I have a lot of ram in here but nonetheless it's it's chewing a bunch of it up so that's the way it goes alright so that looks good I'm pretty happy with I'm fairly certain that that's what I want so now it's time to render this out okay we're having a little bit of a render problem right now so the way you're going to deal with this as you're going to go to composition you're going to go to add to render Cube the render keeps going to show up down here this is going to render out as an mov file super high-quality but kind of big okay so let's go here let's go to Let's double-check make sure that we're in the right location yeah that's good save render and it's going to Crunch through this thing now luckily it's not going to take it too long of a time but none the less you know it's yeah it's not too bad I will show you the other way we would normally do this so we're having problems with Adobe Media encoder and I'm normally what we would do as we come up composition we would out of 200 lb media encoder queue and we would render it out as an mp4 I will walk you through or correct output for this but none-the-less this will run I will post this movie I will post the full I will actually provide a full copy of the folder for this project into the network drive so that you can actually copy it to desktop and check out my entire project along with this movie the way I would normally do this if we were having problems with the install on at this in the school and this may be cleared up by the time you watch this next school year 2018 19 is that actually add this here I'm going to go ahead and render it out here I'm going to change its name cuz I already have watch it don't I will call this master what causes a s master this is directly to MP4 I'll walk you to the bus converting mov to MP4 but this is a smaller better video and that's where we're at hopefully you're on track and this answers most of your questions
