Keep Up With The Panthers

SPONSOR WFL!

Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the US, and accounts for nearly 1 of every 4 deaths. It is estimated that in 2018 more than 1.5 million new cancer cases will be diagnosed and over half a million Americans will die from cancer. The Panther community has been coming together each February for 16 years with our Walk For Life event to raise money to help support cancer patients. Our beneficiaries are City of Hope and Cancer Support Community in Redondo Beach.

The City of Hope, founded in 1913, is a world leader in the research and treatment of cancer, and is one of only 47 comprehensive cancer centers in the nation, as designated by the National Cancer Institute.

The Cancer Support Community offers free programs for cancer patients, and their families and loved-ones. Their goal is to help as many cancer patients as possible recover from the physical and emotional effects of cancer to the greatest extent possible.

Our Walk for Life student ambassadors are currently working to find sponsors for this year's event. Sponsors help defray our costs so that 100% of our participants' donations can be given to The City of Hope and Cancer Support Community. We welcome all sponsorships; donations of $150 or more from businesses or families will be recognized with logos or names on our Walk for Life t-shirt. To become a sponsor for the 2019 Walk for Life, please complete this WFL Sponsor Form and return it by January 28.
