ASHA Certified Speech-Language Pathologist
This is my 13th year working as a school SLP for PVPUSD.
I received my Bachelor degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from CSU Los Angeles and my Master degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from CSU Long Beach.
The best thing about being an SLP is helping my students communicate more easily with their friends and teachers within the school environment. I enjoy learning and continue my education regularly by attending speech and language conferences, reading journals, and keeping up with research and best practices.
Interesting Facts About Me
1. I love the outdoors and being in nature. I grew up in Idaho with parents who participated in lots of outdoor activities. We did things like camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, kayaking, water skiing, and snow skiing.
2. I have lived in California now for many years and have learned to golf, sail, snorkel, scuba dive, bodyboard, and standup paddle board with my husband.
3. Some of my hobbies involve gardening, reading, painting, art, and genealogy.
4. I have a husband, two grown sons, and a Boxer named Holly. We stay in shape in part .because Holly loves walking outside every day.
5. I love flowers. You will see when you visit my speech room!
I am really glad to be working with students again at Pen High this year.
