Welcome Back from Spring Break

Good morning,

Welcome back from spring break.  I hope you were able to enjoy time with your family and that you are adapting well to this new normal for however long it lasts.  The term "staycation" was definitely taken to a new level for our family.  We did get to do some gardening in the backyard, and it was good to see that springtime is in the air.  I witnessed lots of butterflies and birds flitting around my trees and flowers.

I have attached a couple of activities you can do this week.  The first is a figurative language activity.  See how many proverbs, idioms, etc. you can come up with from looking at this picture.  (I found it on Facebook.)  Can you think of at least three or more?  Email me and let me know.  The second is a list of instructions for leaving a voicemail message.  You can use it to expand your telephone etiquette when you call someone you have not spoken with in awhile.  One last activity you might want to check out is a link to Yosemite National Park.  Explore this new environment and let me know via email something interesting you learned.  You can practice your language and writing skills!

I know some of you are missing your friends.  As per my previous email, I can help facilitate a way to reach out to other speech and language students.  Just let me know you are interested.

One last thing.  With the new testing schedule that was recently implemented in mind, please let me know what days/times are best for you to schedule your teletherapy sessions.  I will do my best to meet your needs and as always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Stay healthy,
