  • Scheduling for Current PVPUSD 8th Graders
  1. Counselors will visit the PVPUSD middle schools on March 18 (DLA), March 19 (RIS), March 20 (MIS), and March 21 (PVIS) to give the 8th graders an overview of high school life and discuss how to select their classes for the fall.
  2. Students will then work with their parents at home to complete the  required paperwork including the 9th grade Scheduling Worksheet.
  3. Counselors will then return to the middle schools on April 15 (DLA), April 16 (RIS), April 17 (MIS), and April 18 (PVIS) to meet with each 8th grade student and review their course selections.

  • Parent Orientation
Our counselors will hold a group meeting on campus for parents of incoming freshmen on Thursday evening, April 11, 2024 at 5:00pm. We will go over campus climate, selecting a balanced 9th grade class load, Counseling Office services, and more. We are excited to get the chance to meet you

  • World Language Placement Tests
Our World Language department will offer placement exams for students looking to enroll in advanced levels the week of March 13, 2024. The middle schools will let families know when the exams will be.
 
  • ELD - English Language Development
PVPHS offers a designated support class to all students designated as English Learners. If your student is designated as an English Learner (EL), please click this link to find out more about our ELD program.
 
  • Scheduling for Private School Students
Scheduling for incoming students from private schools and out of district schools will be on campus on April 24, 2024 from 8:30am to 10:30am and May 8, 2024 from noon to 3pm. These students must have already completed the enrollment process with our registrar Daniel Cordova (more information on enrolling can be found HERE).
 
  • Registration
All Peninsula students must go through Registration at the start of the school year. During Registration, students will come to the gym to turn in several required forms and get their id cards and books. More information about Registration Day will be mailed home in July.
Registration Day will be held one day during the week of August 12, 2024 (exact date is tba), with Late Registration on the first day of school.
 
  • Orientation
All  Freshmen and incoming transfer students are invited to Orientation - a fun filled morning providing new students with important information about our campus. This event is run by our Link Crew leadership group. Orientation usually takes place the day after Registration Day in August. 
 
  • First Day of School
The first day of school is  August 21, 2024. It will be a minimum day schedule.
 
SPORTS TEAMS
